volunteer with teenhealthsource
PPT’s Teen Programming is looking for teen volunteers (ages 16-19) to join our amazing volunteer team! The application form is attached and available at teenhealthsource.com/blog/volunteer.
Planned Parenthood Toronto’s Teen Health Source offers teens unique ways to get reliable information about sexual health. Peer volunteers provide information on sexual and reproductive health directly to clients through the phone, text, chat, and e-mail. Issues include puberty, health relationships, sexually transmitted infections, birth control options, sexual pleasure, pregnancy options and more! Peer volunteers also take part in writing and creating new content for TeenHealthSource.com.
No experience is required. Training will be provided. To volunteer with this program you must be between the ages of 16 and 19 and able to commit to one year of service following the completion of training. This commitment consists of working one three-hour shift per week during the time our service is open (Mon-Thurs 4-9 and Sat 12-5).
If you are interested in volunteering for Teen Programming, please complete the application form and send it to atownsend@ppt.on.ca. The application forms have other details and ways to submit an application. Applications are due Sunday, October 9th.
