The Supporting Newcomer Access Project (SNAP): Peer-Based Sexual Health Education for Newcomer Youth

Are you a newcomer* to Canada who is between the ages of 16 and 29? Do you want to give back to your community by being a Peer Educator and youth leader? Are you interested in fighting the barriers and discrimination that newcomers experience when it comes to living healthy lives? We want YOU to join S.N.A.P.!

We are looking for youth who are interested in engaging with their peers from diverse newcomer communities in Toronto to address our lack of relevant and accessible sexual health education. Through the development and delivery of peer-led sexual health education workshops, activities and resources, you will have an active role in making youth in your community feel more comfortable and healthy. We ask for a 1-year commitment from our volunteers.

How do I apply?

The deadline for volunteer applications is October 15th or until positions are filled. Application forms can be downloaded by clicking here, or come by our office to pick one up. To submit your application or for more info, email Majd Sayed at msayed@ppt.on.ca or call (416) 961-0113 ext. 181.
