Physician Locum

Hours flexible: up to 0.5 PTE if interested.

Planned Parenthood Toronto is a fully accredited community health centre that provides primary health care services to youth 13 to 29 years as well as health promotion programming, education, training and research to improve the health and well being of Toronto’s diverse communities. We are currently seeking a Physician to work 26.25 hours per week in our dynamic clinic for youth aged 13 - 29.  Working as part of the interdisciplinary care, the successful candidate will provide have the opportunity to provide care to clients on a variety of issues, including primary and sexual health care.

Qualifications include:

  • License to practice medicine and membership in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with youth in areas of primary, sexual & reproductive health care
  • Commitment to working cooperatively in a community-based setting as part of a inter-disciplinary team of staff, volunteers and students
  • Ability to work 2 evenings per week in a busy drop-in setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency and experience working in a computerized environment
  • Commitment to pro-choice philosophy
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity goals and principles, sexual and reproductive rights and to being youth positive, gay positive and sex positive
