Planned Parenthood Toronto is a fully accredited community health centre that provides primary health care services to youth 13 to 29 years as well as health promotion programming, education, training and research to improve the health and well being of Toronto’s diverse communities. We are currently seeking Physician to work 18.75 hours per week in our dynamic clinic for youth aged 13 - 29. Working as part of the interdisciplinary care, the successful candidate will provide have the opportunity to provide care to clients on a variety of issues, including primary and sexual health care.
Generous benefits include professional development time and funding, vacation, float time, employer paid RRSP contribution, compensation for on-call and the option of a flexible work week.
Qualifications include:
- License to practice medicine and membership in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario;
- Demonstrated ability to work with youth in areas of primary, sexual & reproductive health care, mental health and prenatal care.
- Commitment to working cooperatively in a community-based setting as part of a inter-disciplinary team of staff, volunteers and students.
- Ability to work 1 evening per week in a drop-in setting.
- Ability to provide 2 weeks of on-call per year (involves directing clients over the phone)
- Proficiency and experience working with electronic health records an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to pro-choice philosophy.
