Anti-Homophobia Education

Teaching acceptance throughout Toronto

Planned Parenthood Toronto is at the forefront of anti-homophobia education in Toronto.  Our award-winning Teens Educating and Confronting Homophobia (T.E.A.C.H.) program delivers high-quality anti-homophobia peer education activities in high schools and community settings across the City of Toronto, with trained youth facilitating discussions with diverse groups of their peers.

Our Training Centre provides Anti-Homophobia Service Provider training which offers service providers an opportunity to learn how to intervene when there are incidences of homophobic harassment among youth and how to build capacity within the work environment to challenge homophobia and heterosexism.

In 2004, we also published a book entitled Hear Me Out, based on youth’s stories from the T.E.A.C.H. program.
